The Scindo (big axe) is great, was definitely worth crafting. The F2P model I haven't found to be offensive thus far, and I'm definitely leaning towards grabbing one of the smaller founder's packs. hopefully I can hop on tonight on another system to try it out, though.

My Rhino finished crafting yesterday but I made the classic mistake of cracking open my PC to work on something real quick just before playing. Not really sure which would be better first but none of those cost a ton. A lot of people don't like the Burston (3?-round burst rifle with a delay before you can refire) since the damage per second is low, but the damage per ammo is good and it's accurate, I personally did like it (until I ranked up enough for the Gorgon.) For your first buy, I would recommend either the real Braton or the Burston, for your main, or the Aklato (dual semiauto pistols) for your sidearm(s).

Pluto - Arn Etina - Haven't been here yet.įor anyone starting out, my advice would be: remember that you can sell mods you don't want, this will help with early cashflow. Neptune - The Hyena - Was here briefly, was also carried by a couple higher-level players. Uranus - Tyl Regor - Haven't been here yet. Somehow managed to miss Saturn almost entirely. Saturn - General Sargas Ruk - Haven't done this one yet. Couple of #4 skills and a few ranged shots and he's done. He basically stands there exuding his poison aura.

We had a full group of higher-levels though, so that may contribute. Nef Anyo - Only done this once, and it was a breeze. Best with a full group.Įarth - Councilor Van Dek - Not too bad. He just has ridiculous amounts of health. My opinions of the bosses I've fought so far: Much of the game isn't terribly challenging either, but even at max ranked frame you can be taken down quickly if you're not careful. They're only letting us decide fairly trivial things at the moment, but seeing what new material is coming down the pipe before it's available is still cool.Ī lot of the stuff is pretty imbalanced right now (the Venus and Earth bosses are ridiculously hard in comparison to basically everything else the Pluto boss died in about 10 seconds). If you ended up becoming a master or grandmaster founder, be sure to drop by the development discussion section of the Warframe forums and vote on stuff. If you love co-op, you should get in on this action as soon as you can.

I can't wait to see what they've got in store to add before release. The devs are active with the community and adjust gameplay based on reasonable feedback.

It offers engaging co-op reminiscent of Mass Effect 3's multiplayer mode for free, minus the everything button and plus a significant amount of freedom both in mobility and mission structure. You'll be farming a lot unless you cough up a few bucks.Īll in all, though, it's a very promising game. It's a significant time sink due in no small part to the randomness of drops. Each part must be crafted from randomly dropped schematics that each require 3 rare components. They require 3 specific parts to be built. Warframes require their schematics to be found or bought first. They do equipment right - every weapon and warframe is obtainable without paying a dime, but it'll require a significant time investment to get the big stuff without paying. It's not above some of the usual F2P transgressions. Get a couple friends together and you'll end up wondering where your night went before you know it. Objectives and environmental obstructions can change and help mix up the flow as you play through each level. Unique enemies require a change in strategy and focus fire to take down efficiently. The combat is fluid and challenging enough that all other complaints fall to the wayside in favor of being a bad motherfucker. Level variety is currently limited and the story is bare-bones, yet I'm still compelled to play because it's just so much fun.

While I know there's a lot of planned content that hasn't been implemented yet, I think this game presents a great argument for solid mechanics being able to carry a game above all else.

If you're behind a firewall, the game is a free to play third person action shooter with four player co-op, more of a melee/mobility/superpower focus, and no sticky cover system. He misses a couple things, but it's a good overview of how the game generally plays. Since a 30 minute video at 60 fps is worth roughly 108,000,000 words depending on how consistent the framerate is, here's a simple rundown of the game basics from TotalBiscuit. Well, the NDA was lifted recently, so now we're free to talk about everything that's been released to the client so far. From the sounds of the Random Gaming Thoughts thread, a lot of you have, too. I got into the Warframe closed beta recently and I've been enjoying it immensely.
